Same Sex Wedding Photography London Hackney Town Hall
My favorite weddings are usually this ones where my couples are lovey and I am treated with love and respect. And this Same Sex Wedding Photography London Hackney Town Hall was one of those wedding. Alex & Timur were not only a very elegant and handsome chaps they were also very kind-hearted and it was a pleasure to be around them.
For my same sex couple this day was only the small celebration . They had a Big Day the following week in Germany, country of Timur’s origins. But on this day my guys legally tied their knot in Hackney Town in London with a small party afterward in one of the Dalston pubs – Prince George in London. With one of the hottest summer ever in London and not much shade in the pub’s beer garden it was a one hot, melting party. But we all made it, including the Football World Cup watching punters inside, and it was fun and it was lovely.
The cherry on top was the wedding cake – it was the coolest cake ever !! I mean it ! So original, quirky and mouth dropping. This futuristic, cubist, colorful cake represented the colors of rainbow to mark a gay pride at this Same Sex Wedding in London Hackney Town Hall. This wedding cake was made and designed by a genious ARD Bakery.
It would be a crime for me not to mention the Lego inspired invitations and Alex and Timur designed themselves. And also not to mention this German wedding tradition of cutting a big sheet of fabric with the smallest scissors possible. I have no idea what it represents or what is the purpose of it. From what I noticed maybe it is meant to make the couple sweat ? ha ha. Or maybe it symbolises a first task that is undertaken as a married couple ? Whatever the meaning of it was the theme of it matched the Lego theme of the invitation. And that was a lovely touch and surprise to by wonderful gay couple.
I will be happy to photograph another same sex /gay wedding. Please get in touch if you planning one :)
